more than just tea - a ritual
House of Sadah is rooted in the tradition of Ethiopian chai (shai) — a drink shared to create warmth, connection, and slowing down. Each cup is an invitation to be present and intentional in the moment.
Shai (pronounced shy or shah-hee) is the Amharic word for tea.

In Ethiopia, shai is traditionally brewed with black tea and warm spices and shared to create space for conversation, warmth, and presence. Enjoyed after meals and during long conversations, it invites slowing down and meaningful connection.
House of Sadah honors this ritual through intentional shai experiences.
Our Ethiopian chai (shai) blend will soon be available to enjoy at home. For now, you can find it in person at select farmers markets.

A fragrant blend of black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves — crafted to be enjoyed sweet and shared slowly. Inspired by tradition, made for moments of presence and connection.
